AUTISM HOUSING NETWORK & The Study: A PLACE IN THE WORLD

We all have the same goal, so let’s speak the same language.

"Bringing together multi-sector leaders from across the country, this groundbreaking study provides the foundational shared language needed for realizing, researching, and replicating housing solutions to support adults with A/I/DD. Housing developers, service providers, community-based organizations, and advocates can use this study as a tool to bring together crucial partnerships to address the current housing crisis"

Common Language, Common Goal

A Place in the World has provided "A universal language for a guiding narrative to research, develop and achieve supportive housing solutions." This foundational language allows for a unified approach that "defines market segments, Informs best practices and guiding principles that drive crucial partnerships that address pressing needs."

Collaboration Between Industries

Pioneering leaders from the disability community work with experts in real estate, community development and public policy makers and glean input from leadership members that represent the public, private, non-profit and philanthropic sectors to create the most powerful team possible to address the urgent issue of homelessness facing this vulnerable demographic.

Proven Outcomes

Rigorous research has been conducted which is "informed by and in service to the community." This template allows leaders from every sector to contribute their particular passion and expertise to projects knowing they are supported by others who are doing the same. This easing of the barrier to entry  provides a clear path for those who wish to help but are uncertain as to how to best do so.

Duplication

This "bridge-building nomenclature brings consumers together with the housing industry to give planners and developers insights into the constituents needs, property characteristics, target markets and sustainable, responsive financial structures.". Once success models are in place, replication may be seen as something we can surely accomplish together to the benefit of the all.
