Our Story
Our son, Shaun was diagnosed with autism at the age of three. Like so many families, we were given very few answers - and one overwhelming uncertainty:
"What would his future look like as an adult?"
As he grew older, it became clear that independent living might not be possible. We began searching for safe, supportive housing. But, what we found was a system not built for families like ours - limited options, long waitlists, and no clear path forward. And, beneath it all, a quiet question so many parents carry:
"What happens when I'm no longer here?"
For years, we searched. Until one realization changed everything.
We are not alone.
And, if we are not alone...then perhaps the solution doesn't have to be built alone either.
Unity Communities was born from that truth. A new way to bring families, partners, and community together to create thoughtful housing and support for individauls with disablities.
Because no one should have to face the future alone.
And together...we can build something better.
Families are Facing a Growing Gap
Across the country, families are navigating a system that was never designed to support long-term, community-based livivng for individuals with disabilites.
This is not a future problem. It's happening now.

How We May Help
Unity Communties brings people together to create thoughtful, sustaiable housing solutions - designed with care, collaboration, and long-term support in mind.

Investor-Supported
Communities
Private investors develop accessible housing communities that serve individauls with disablities while generating a sustainable financial return through impact-driven investments. Unity Communities provides guidance and consultation on structure, operations, and mission alignment helping investors to navigate the complexities of the development process.

Donor-Funded
Communities
Philanthropic donors fund the creation of housing communities dedicated to individuals with disablities where rental income supports ongoing operations, maintenance, and long-term investments to ensure long-term sustainability. Because the initial development costs are covered, housing can remain more accessible and affordable for residents.

Family Collaborative
Communities
This model empowers families to work together to create housing solutions for their loved ones. Many families recognize the need for long-term planning, but lack the expertise. or organizational structure to bring a housing project into fruition. Unity Communities guide families through this process allowing families to gain greater control over planning their communities and shared support services.
Each model is designed to meet people where they are - while building something stronger, together.
